Most people start with a short introductory session to get a feel for what RM is
Even if you have read Relational Mindfulness for Coaches and are applying your learning in your coaching and life, we strongly recommend attending an organised Relational Mindfulness (RM) programme.
This is not just because we would love to see you on one of our RM programmes (which we would!) but also because we feel there are multiple benefits to engaging in a teacher-led group to learn about and practice RM. Attending an RM session will bring the practices to life in a way that simply reading and self-guiding cannot do. For example:
Engage on an experiential and visceral level
Engaging with an RM programme is a way to learn RM at an experiential and visceral level, which is much harder to do from the written word. Being guided into mindful dialogue practice by a teacher who embodies RM will support your somatic learning as your neurobiology responds at an embodied level. The most rewarding feedback on our programmes, which we get regularly, is that we embody what we are teaching.
A Powerful Group Learning Process
Being part of a group learning process provides powerful benefits through the shared intention and shared interest between participants, and through the multiple perspectives, comments and responses that emerge in a group setting. Participating in one of our group RM programmes gives you the experience of practising with the RM guidelines in pairs, small groups and the whole group.
Continuing Practice with Your RM Community
We encourage participants on our programmes to continue practising with one another after the programme ends, so you can end up with a community of people with whom you can establish a regular RM practice. This can help you deepen your learning, apply it in your coaching and life, and maintain your engagement with the practice over time.
